Having been in the paint business for almost 30 years, Jamie knows the business. I found him to be knowledgeable, honest and keeps his word. His painters do excellent work, are courteous, on time, quiet, and clean up each day. We highly recommend Maverick Painting. Maverick Painting is local (La Costa) family owned company and uses Sherwin William paints along with other quality stains. Our exterior turned out great. They also do interior painting.

Jamie's crew did a great job on our two story house in Cardiff. The crew power washed and re-stained all the exterior wood eaves, fascia, under hangs, wall caps, stair rails, and pergola. Great job masking and protecting stucco exterior and walkways. They showed up every day on time and always cleaned up before they left. They were always very quiet and courteous. Jamie's bid was very competitive, and he came by several times to make sure the job was being done to his satisfaction and mine. Overall, a great experience.
Jamie really cares about his work and stands by it. In my experience a rare quality in a contractor. I will use maverick paint in the future. He stained exterior wood for me and the finished product looks great and should last.
Maverick Painting did some detail work on our exterior, along with sealing our exposed wood beams and then came inside to paint three rooms. They were on time, professional, and very good! These guys are precise and very polite! Also, Jamie, knows how to treat salt-air exposed wrought iron with a specialty product that looks amazing once applied. I will definitely be using them again. Whole crew came and painted the entire interior of the larger-than-average one-story house and completed the job days earlier than estimated. Jamie is a perfectionist and catches not just the details you think of but many many more (like caulking seams and getting paint shades just right for our ceiling inset). Our "new" home was 10 years old and thanks to Maverick Painting, it looks no different than a brand new model home by the ritzy builders down the road! Jamie does work on high-end gazillionaires and local homeowners like us and treats us no differently from the gazillionaires. We were very happy with Jamie and his team. They painted kitchen cabinets from black to blue, painted the full interior, and did a custom front door. They were professional, followed through with what Jamie said they'd do, and the work is very good. Highly recommend Maverick.
I've had him paint two large jobs for properties I manage and one I'm selling. I've tried many painters and he is way more careful doing all the prep needed first before painting to eliminate as much of the mess as possible. I had no problems with him with over spray like other painters, and he covers everything with plastic if people's belongings are there which is a pain. He's also the most reasonable I've found. He uses Sherwin Williams and cuts lines straight. Always ask for caulking corners and gaps, baseboards and such, he does a great job at that. Most painters leave gaps and don't caulk where they should and it looks so much cleaner and professional with caulking corners and edges that need it! He takes checks and cash, credit card is extra but that's normal for a small business, especially with his good pricing. He's fast and checks the jobs before, during and after. I'm very pleased with his work. Pay a deposit and then be ready when the job is done to pay him same day. Hard worker!

Jamie and his crew were fantastic! We took many quotes and met with many painters and only felt comfortable with him, and that really paid off. Not only was he right in the ballpark of the other guys, he promised more things like bondo'ing over rotten wood, caulking all joints and fixing any stucco issues. Not only did he promise but he delivered. His guys were courteous and polite and always cleaned everything up after a hard days work. Our neighbors are so impressed with the work he did turning our ugly pink property into a thing of beauty that they're asking him for quotes as well. I can't recommend these guys enough. They were the bright spot of our remodel.

We had Maverick Painting paint our house in January 2014. Overall, I am highly satisfied. The owner, Jamie, came every day to our house when his crew was working, personally buying and dropping off the materials. This was key in our getting the correct color on our house. The color which I ordered ended up being too light. Based on conversations between Jamie and myself, he realized this. He and I went to the paint store together and were able to convert the paint from the color I ordered to the color that I really wanted. If it were any other contractor my house would be a color that I really didn't want. Overall, my house looks great, the crew is courteous, the price was less expensive than other bids, and Jamie paid attention to details resulting in my getting exactly what I wanted.
Jamie had the most input when coming by to bid on the job. His bid came in just under all others and the attention to detail is what sold us. Well I'm glad we went with Maverick as not only is Jamie great, his crew is polite, professional and very thorough. We love the outcome and since are having him come back for the interior. Also, we were so impressed with Jamie and his crew, we referred him and two of our neighbors have had their houses painted by Maverick as well. Just had my 3 story town home completed by Jamie and his crew. This was my first time using a professional company to do painting. I had several bids and I felt comfortable with Jamie and the price of the bid. I ended up having to leave town and was anxious since I was not home. Jamie stayed in contact with me and sent pics to my phone so I could see the process. When I got home they were way ahead of schedule and stayed late on two days to get it done early! Jamie came by each day to review progress which was great. His crew has been amazing. Very courteous and professional. They were very patient with my dogs. In the end I am thrilled with the work and it looks amazing. I will turn to Maverick for all my painting needs in the future.
Maverick Painting did a great job on painting the exterior of my house. We had a tight deadline that we needed to me and Jamie was able to get his crew in. From the start, Jamie was very professional and spoke about the differences in his painting company and the work they do. Our color palette was a little different, but they helped us throughout the process. The crew that was there painting were great. They were friendly, professional and worked their butts off. In order to complete the project, they even came and worked on Saturday and Sunday. When Jamie came to do the final inspection, he wasn't happy with some spotting on one wall. He scheduled a crew member to come back out on Monday to add another coat. The house looks great and we are really happy with the way it looks. From the start with the quote all the way through to invoicing, the professionalism and customer service was outstanding. Jamie came by at least once a day to monitor progress and to provide us with updates. I highly recommend Maverick Painting and am very pleased that we chose them.

Jamie and his crew were great. We couldn't have asked for better. From the initial get go to the completion of the work, Jamie was an absolute professional. Always on time, extremely courteous and committed to the work. The paint job itself was done beautifully, clean lines, uniform sheen, no patches or bumps. They even cleaned up the baseboards to give it a clean finish. His crew were so mindful, that they made sure to remove the masking on the stairs between work days so that I wouldn't trip and fall (I am 8 months pregnant). It is these small things that make a big difference. We didn't need to move the furniture, they did it themselves, and put everything back in place after completing the job. They also finished ahead of time!! Thanks to Jamie and his crew for a wonderful job! We will definitely call Maverick Painting for our next paint project and refer him to our friends!
Can't say enough great things about this company! We needed the exterior of home painted, and let me tell you, it was in BAD shape. We had 5 different companies give us quotes. Not only did Jamie present himself with the most integrity, he gave us an extremely fair price and guaranteed his work. The job itself had it's share of ups and down, whoever heard of a rain delay in August!! Well, it happened to us, we lost 2 days! However, his crew went out of their way, and worked all day on a Sunday to make sure the house looked good before an out of town guest arrived. They then returned a week later and finished every detail beautifully. Having to stop the job mid-way actually meant more work for the guys, basically they had to completely clean up the job site while my house guest was here, then redo all the taping and draping to finish the job. Despite the extra work, and the week delay. Jamie never asked for another cent above his bid, nor did he do the typical contractor move and ask for a payment mid-job. It thrills me to see the crew working on my neighbors house right now. I was able to refer them then and I hope I can help refer them now with this review.
Jamie and his company Maverick Painting are the very best painting company you will ever find. My husband and I had just moved to Encinitas and needed a paint job on our new place.We had about a four day window before our furnishings arrived and knew we were asking a lot. We interviewed several companies before we spoke to Jamie. Right from the moment he walked in the door we knew we were dealing with a professional. He walked through the house explaining everything his crew would do, and saw things that needed care we hadn't even seen. He said he could get the job done in four days and gave us a very fair price. He was on top of the job throughout and we are extremely pleased with the results. He takes great pride in the work and goes above and beyond to please his customers. He even came personally late one nite on a Sunday to touch up a vent grate that had been overlooked. Now that's a guy who takes pride in his company. You could not do any better than Maverick Painting.
Jamie & his crew were the ultimate professionals; courteous, on time, thorough, informative, friendly, and did a fantastic job for a fair price. He even went so far as to correct imperfections left by the last painters in areas he wasn't even asked to paint! He knew of techniques another painter didn't, like how drywall splatters are water based and can usually be wiped down quite easily. He chose to have his crew roll the paint on our ceilings to insure best quality instead of spraying (which another painter was going to do). Even his more labor intense job was the lesser of the bids. He takes great pride in his work and was present multiple times every day unlike the previous company we'd used where he only came back to collect payment at the end. We intend on using Maverick Painting for all our future painting needs.
Jamie is a rock star not only when it comes to painting, but coming through in the clutch. I was referred to Jamie through a friend and I wasn't disappointed. I live up in Los Angeles (a couple of hours from Jamie) and needed a painter for a project in the 11th hour as my painter called out sick. Jamie, was up at my place personally that day and stayed all day and night (leaving at midnight) to make sure the job was completed. Not only was the job done beyond my standards, but Jamie was extremely reasonable in price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
We are grateful for Jamie and his team. They helped us out in a pinch. We've been getting the house ready for an upcoming appraisal and were running out of weekends to do the painting ourselves. So late Thursday night (around 845p) before our last weekend to complete our exterior painting we emailed Jamie... hoping he would be able to come bid the job on Friday and start on Saturday. The amazing thing is Jamie called me 10 mins after hit the send button. He was came over Friday night bid the job and was able to begin the job a few days later. It all go done and done well before the appraiser arrived. What we appreciated most was his attention to detail. He walked the job with us several times to make sure everything meet our expectations. It took me 7 years to finally remove my popcorn ceiling, and I am glad it took this long so I could find Maverick Painting. Jamie provided a quick quote and kept within his estimate. Jamie also worked around my schedule to remove the popcorn so that I (and my CCI dog) wouldn't have to be displaced from my condo. He provided daily updates (including photos) to me via text so I could see how the project was progressing. I also appreciate his willingness to please; I am pretty particular about how I like things to look and he met my every expectation. I plan on calling Maverick Painting for any future work and highly recommend them to anyone. Great job to the entire team!
Maverick Painting was highly recommended to me by my local Sherwin Williams paint store. I was impressed with Jamie's approach to painting my building. Maverick exceeded my expectations and was easy to work with. The crew took pride in their work and did so in a very timely fashion. No worry about baby sitting these guys because they value the finish product and put the prep in to get it right. I plan on using Maverick for all my painting needs in the future.
I called Maverick Painting after checking out several painting websites and requesting estimates. My job wasn't very big, so I was certainly worried about costs as well as quality. I was particularly interested in the one-day, single-price deal to get everything done. Jamie was the only painter to respond quickly (and professionally) with an offer to come out and estimate the job. I suppose my little job didn’t make the profit margin targets for the other guys? Jamie determined that he couldn't get everything done in one day, but his estimate was EXTREMELY reasonable for two days' work. He fit us into his schedule between two bigger jobs and did amazing work. We had one area that needed new molding and paint touch-up but didn't have remaining samples of the original paint. Jamie mixed and measured his own paint and nailed it – you can't tell it wasn't the original paint and molding. Bottom line – if you want a job done correctly, at an extremely competitive price, and by one of the most professional painters in North County, you should call Maverick Painting.
Maverick Painting did an amazing job on the outside of my house. They were able to squeeze me in and give my house a new look just days before the busy holiday season. Jamie was a pleasure to work with and everything went very smoothly from the initial quote to the last touch up. Neighbors knock on my door and comment on the great work.
I want to again thank you and your crew for the terrific work that was done on my home in Carlsbad. The other bids I obtained gave a time period of 3 to 4 weeks to complete the painting. Your guys completed the work in 8 days. I was particularly impressed with the preparation, taping, replacement of dry rot areas and the number of coats applied to each area. The crew arrived each day no later than 8:00 and worked until at least 5:00 daily including working Saturdays. They were pleasant and were agreeable to anything I asked. Upon completion, my property was entirely cleaned. By the way, your price was very competitive.

These guys are fantastic. This was a tricky job, because the wooden / fence is made up of 2-3" wooden slats with about an inch in between each of them. It's a large surface too - running all the way around the wall surrounding my pool area (about 10ft high and a good 100ft long). They sanded the entire front of it with a power sander and then manually sanded in between each slat. They then stained all the surfaces with waterproofing stain, perfectly matching the original color. They also bleached out a few spots where there were some pretty bad black spots on the wood due to lack of proper upkeep (woops). Job took about 4 days with two guys working constantly through the process. Did an exceptional job, were professional, got my input on the color matching, showed up when they said they would - overall couldn't have asked for more. We would definitely recommend Jamie and Maverick Painting.
This company is extremely professional; they arrived on schedule everyday and finished on schedule. The work area was left nice and clean without debris and with a thorough vacuum. The job quality is incredible; I have had several visitors who cannot believe the transformation. Every tiny detail was paid attention to.
